The radiator

I bought the radiator in a car radiator repair, it's a car heating radiator. It cost me 20 €. I was told it was fully made of aluminium but I have some doubts (you can see the red color in the pipes...). It's 15cm x 24 cm, clearly bigger than needed which I like.

It's got the fins very close, so it's hard for the fan to make air flow, but it's so big that even if you don't start the fan it gives acceptable temperature i the processor.

I put a 0,8 mm aluminum shroud on top of the radiator to increase the fan eficiency, I also put some rubber bands around the radiator so that all the air passes through the fins.

In the next picture you can see the radiator with the shroud and fan mounted. The fan is held with a thick silicone coat so as to avoid it transmiting vibrations. The fan is 12 cm size, rated at 12 V.
